Installing Turbo Lister
Before you install Turbo Lister, make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or 7 (32- or 64-bit)
At least 250 MB free disk space, more than 500 MB recommended
RAM: 128 MB, more than 256 MB recommended
Internet Explorer v5.5 or later installed
Note: Turbo Lister isn't compatible with Macintosh operating systems.
To install Turbo Lister: Save the installation file.
Once the file is finished downloading, double-click it.
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete installation.
The installation program places a Turbo Lister shortcut icon on your desktop, on the Quick Launch bar and in the Start menu (All Programs > eBay > eBay Turbo Lister 2). You can start Turbo Lister from any of these places.
Signing in to Turbo Lister
If you are running the most current version of Turbo Lister, the first time you sign in, or if you add a new user, you'll be asked to confirm your identity through an authentication process. This authentication will last 18 months. After that, you'll need to go through the process again.
To sign in and confirm your identity:Enter your user ID.
Note: If you list on more than one eBay site, select the check box under your user ID.
Click the Connect Now button.
Click the Continue button.
Click the I agree button.
Verify your contact information, and then click the Next button.
In the Getting Started dialog box, select Create a new item or Synchronize data with eBay, and then click the Finish button.
Enabling password protection
Password protection requires you to enter your user ID and password each time you sign in to Turbo Lister. Choosing the option will give you added security. It's a good idea to use this option if you're not the only person who uses your computer.
To enable password protection: From Turbo Lister, select Options… from the Tools menu.
In the Options and preferences window, click Advanced Options, and then click Turbo Lister Options.
Click the Enable Password Protection button.
Click the Continue button.
Click OK to close the window.
Changing your user ID in Turbo Lister
When your change your user ID on eBay, you will also need to change it in Turbo Lister so they will match. Always change your user ID on eBay before changing it in Turbo Lister.
Note: If you change your password on eBay, you won't need to change it in Turbo Lister.
To change your user ID in Turbo ListerFrom Turbo Lister, select Options… from the Tools menu.
In the Options and preferences window, click Personal Information, and then click eBay Accou
nt.
Click the Change User ID button.
Click OK again to close the window.
Updating Turbo Lister
Turbo Lister will prompt you whenever Turbo Lister updates are available. You can also check for updates manually.
To check for updates to Turbo Lister:In Turbo Lister, select Check for Program Updates from the Tools menu.
If there are updates, click the Install Now or Install Later button.
When Turbo Lister updates, we'll ask you to choose a location to back up your information before the update happens.
Note: After installing a new software update, you will also be asked to confirm your identity.
Uninstalling Turbo Lister
Before you uninstall a version of Turbo Lister, we recommend that you back up your Turbo Lister files in case you want to use Turbo Lister again later.
To back up your Turbo Lister files:Choose Backup Database from the File menu.
Click the Browse button and save your backup file somewhere you can easily find it later.
To uninstall Turbo Lister:Click Start, and click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
Find Turbo Lister 2 in the list of installed programs and click it. Follow the onscreen instructions.
You'll be asked if you want to remove user database files.
Click the Change/Remove button.
You'll be asked if you want to remove the Turbo Lister database files. You have two 2 choices:
Click No if you want to keep the listings and other information that you' have entered into Turbo Lister.
Click Yes if you want to remove this information. If you click Yes, all your information will be deleted and will not be available in any version of Turbo Lister that you may install in the future.
