  1. Is my item allowed on eBay?
To find out whether your item is allowed on eBay, please see the following Help Page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/intellectual-property-ov.html

  2. Why did eBay end my listing?
To understand why your listing was ended early, please refer to the following Help Page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/listing-ended.html

  3. Why was my listing removed because of VeRO?
To understand why your listing was removed because of VeRO, please refer to the following Help Page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/questions/vero-ended-item.html

  4. Can eBay verify my item?
No. eBay has not inspected the item you have listed, nor do we have enough information about your item to make any judgment as to whether it is authorized. In addition, eBay is not an expert in the rights of any third parties. As a result, we are not in a position to make a judgment as to whether the item you have listed is authorized or legal. This is why we urge you to contact the Rights Owner directly to resolve this matter.

eBay values you as a member of the eBay community and recognizes that on occasion a listing may be ended in error or due to misidentification. To help you better understand why a rights owner might have asked that your listing be removed, we have encouraged rights owners to create their own "About Me" pages. This may help answer some questions you have. The link below will take you to current "About Me" Pages.

  5. I want to contact a Rights Owner. What should I do?
When we removed your listing(s), we sent you an email in My Messages which contains the name of the Rights Owner and their email address. We encourage you to contact them if you feel your item was removed incorrectly. If the Rights Owner has an About Me page, we encourage you to read it first as it may answer some of the questions you have. You should ensure that you include the following information in your email to the Rights Owner:
    • Your eBay user ID
    • Your eBay email address
    • The listing number(s) that were removed
    • Images of your picture where possible

  6. Why didn't eBay contact me before removing my listing?
When eBay is notified by Intellectual Property Rights Owners of items that infringe their intellectual property rights, such as copyright or trademark, we are obliged to remove the listings as soon as possible.

  7. Why are there other listings like mine that have not been removed?
We review all listings that are reported to us by members of eBay and participants in the VeRO (Verified Rights Owners) Program. These items may not yet have been reported to us or they may not have been seen as infringing by the Rights Owner.

  8. I bought this item on eBay. Why was it not ended then?
We understand the concerns you have expressed as to why this item was not removed before you purchased it on eBay. Unfortunately, there may be times when listings are not removed because the rights owner has not reported them to us.

If you believe an item is potentially infringing, and it was not removed by eBay, then we encourage you to contact the rights owner and inform them of the possible infringement. eBay's Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program works to ensure that items listed do not infringe the copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties.

  9. Can I re-list my item without the Rights Owner's permission?
eBay does not and cannot verify that sellers have the right or ability to sell or distribute their listed items. Therefore, we cannot give you permission to re-list the item.

If you re-list the item without permission from the rights owner, you may risk liability if the rights owner believes that the listing infringes their rights. You also run the risk of account level action, including suspension of your eBay account.
