- The defect rate has been reduced to two measures
- A new on-time shipping metric will measure shipping performance
- Feedback and detailed seller ratings won’t count as defects

Flexible returns help you be more efficient and do business your way
With increased options soon available through your returns preferences and policy, you'll be able to customize how you handle returns based on your individual business needs.
Category changes
Category, item specifics, and catalog updates will be released this fall to provide a more intuitive buying, selling, and search experience. Check to see if your category is affected and make any necessary updates.
Product identifier requirement
Starting next year, eBay will extend the product identifier requirement to additional categories and listing types. You’ll get a 90-day advance notice to update your listings. Meanwhile, be sure to add product identifiers to your listings whenever you can to boost visibility.
