Biggest Find: Glass Mosaic Tile (for backsplash) - $310
Publicist Maria Bumatay loved the split-level home she and her boyfriend recently purchased. However, she hated its "brown box" 1970's kitchen.
"We had always dreamed of having a gourmet kitchen," she said. "Since we spend the majority of time in this room, we wanted to make it not only functional, but attractive as well."
Maria scoured eBay and was able to do a complete transformation to her kitchen. She incorporated such elements as track lighting, green glass tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The result? A light, airy space, perfect for savoring morning coffee or cooking fancy dinners.
"I had been an eBay user for more than a year and had bought and sold a few items here and there," said Maria. "I didn't have a grasp of just what was available on the site until I started this remodel. The possibilities and deals to be found are endless." |
