Biggest Find: Stainless Steel Kitchen

Cathy Clark lives in a farmhouse-style home with five kids, a hungry husband and -- until she entered the eBay & Country Living Remodeling Challenge -- a horrible kitchen.
Cathy's grand-prize-winning design marries form with function. She kept the kitchen's 1920's period charm, evident in the rest of the house, but added modern conveniences. She was able to incorporate a farmhouse sink, old world fixtures and hickory wood flooring. Clark's husband, a custom cabinet-maker, built open and airy kitchen cabinets with materials he found on eBay.
"eBay was a great resource," she said. "I spend most of my time in the kitchen, so it's important that everything is beautiful and also works perfectly in order to keep up with my five children. I was able to find top-of-the-line appliances and hard-to-find accents such as period hardware and faucets." |
