eBay Store Traffic Reports - Basics

Traffic Reports provide detailed information about your Store's traffic and are free while you maintain your Store subscription.

How to access reports

To view your Store traffic reports:
  1. Go to My eBay and login if required.

  2. Click the "Manage My Store" in the left-hand navigation. The Manage My Store: Summary page appears.

  3. Click the "Traffic Reports" link in the left-hand navigation.

    • eBay prompts you to sign in again for your protection.

    • If you are accessing traffic reports for the first time, you will be asked to give eBay permission to transfer traffic information associated with your eBay Stores and listings to Omniture, a third-party Web site that has partnered with eBay to provide your traffic reports.

  4. Once you agree to be transferred, you can view your Store traffic reports.

Note: Traffic reports show the last 24 months of activity only. You must view your traffic reports online at least once every 90 days, or we will assume that you are not interested in this feature and reporting activity will stop. You can always reactivate the Traffic Reports feature. Activity reported prior to the expiration date will still be available; however, information for activity that occurred between the expiration date and the date that you reactivate reporting will be unavailable.

Types of pages tracked for reports

Your reports contain information about traffic to these eBay pages:

  • All pages within your Store (including any custom pages, custom category pages, search results, and so forth)

  • All of your item pages in all formats (Online Auction, Fixed Price, Store Inventory, and so forth)

  • Other pages on eBay that are specific to you as a seller, including your Seller's Other Items page, your Membership Profile (Feedback) page, and your About Me page

  • Other pages associated with your listings, such as bid and Buy It Now confirmation pages that only buyers see

Types of reports

Your Store Traffic Reports are categorized as follows:

  • Traffic reports - Provide in-depth insight into your visitors and how they interact with your Store, your listings, and other pages that we track for you. You can see which pages and listings were most often visited by your customers, and which Web sites and search keywords brought the most visitors to your Store and listings.

  • Path reports* - Help you understand the complete path that visitors took as they clicked through your Store and your listings. For example, these reports will reveal how and where visitors entered your Store, as well as the last page they visited before exiting your Store.

  • Bidding and Buying reports* - Help you measure your listing success rates and which sites and search keywords led to the most bids and sales.

*For Premium and Anchor Store subscribers only.
