Summary of Package Size & Shipping Service Rules:

Each of the package sizes supported is described below.

Letter

A letter ranges between:

• Minimum: 5" long, 31/2" high and 0.007" thick.

• Maximum: 111/2" long, 6 1/8" high and 1/4" thick.

If any dimensions of your package are larger than the maximum, select "Large Envelope" or "Package/Thick Envelope."

Large Envelope

A Large Envelope ranges between:

• Minimum: 111/2" long, 6 1/8" high, and 1/4" thick.

• Maximum: 15" long, 12" high, 3/4" thick

If any dimensions of your package are larger than the maximum, select "Package/Thick Envelope."

USPS Flat Rate Envelope

These are special envelopes provided by the US Postal Service. The rate stays the same no matter what the item weighs.

UPS Letter

These are special letters provided by UPS for use with UPS Next Day Air Saver and UPS 2nd Day Air. They are for letters, correspondence, and electronic media. The rate is not based on the weight of the shipment.

Package or Thick Envelope

• A package is a parcel less than 84" when you add the length + girth. Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is the distance if you wrapped a string around the 2 smaller sides of a package.

• A Thick Envelope is a large envelope exceeding 3/4" thickness.

IMPORTANT: For large UPS shipments, you may need to enter a dimensional weight.

Large Package or Oversize 1

A Large Package is a parcel where the length + girth is over 84" and less than or equal to 108". Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is the distance if you wrapped a string around the 2 smaller sides of a package.

IMPORTANT: For large UPS shipments, you may need to enter a dimension to correctly calculate costs.

Very Large Package or Oversize 2

An Oversized Package is a parcel where the length + girth is over 108" and less than or equal to 130". Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is the distance if you wrapped a string around the 2 smaller sides of a package.

To help you determine that a package is within UPS limits, a 130 inch chain is available by calling 1-800-PICK-UPS.

IMPORTANT: For large UPS shipments, you may need to enter a dimensional weight.

Extra Large Package or Oversize 3

An Oversized 3 Package is a parcel where the length + girth is over 130" and less than or equal to 165". Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is the distance if you wrapped a string around the 2 smaller sides of a package.
