Final Value Fee discounts in the Watches category for sellers registered but not yet activated on managed payments

What is the Promotion?

Sellers (“Sellers”) who have registered for managed payments but have not been activated will get a rate discount of 30% off final value fees (FVF) (“Promotional Rate”) when they sell an item over $2,000 in the Watches (260325) category, regardless of the listing date. The rate discount is effective through March 31, 2021 or until the Seller is activated by eBay in managed payments, whichever comes first. To qualify for the discount, the Seller must: (i) register for managed payments, and (ii) the Promotional Rate must appear in the “Promotional offers” module in a Seller’s Seller Hub Overview tab.  The discount applies to final value fees only; insertion fees and optional listing upgrade fees may apply.

All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply.

What is the Promotional Rate?

The final value fees and fee caps are as follows for items sold in the Watches (260325) category over $2,000:

Non-Store / Starter Store

10% with $750 FVF Cap

Basic and Premium Stores

9.15% with $350 FVF Cap

Anchor and Enterprise Stores

9.15% with $250 FVF Cap

Who’s eligible?

The Promotion is available to Sellers: (i) who register for managed payments; (ii) have the Promotional Rate appear in the “Promotional offers” module in the Seller’s Seller Hub Overview tab; and (iii) who meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

When is it?

This Promotion will begin on September 9, 2020 at 00:00:01 PT (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on March 31, 2021 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59PM plus 59 seconds) or when the Seller is activated by eBay in managed payments, whichever comes first. The Promotional Rate will apply regardless of listing date provided the Seller meets the other aforementioned requirements.

How do I activate the Promotion?

Sellers must register for managed payments but not yet be activated. Please note that the discount may not be shown during the listing process. Instead, the discount will be reflected in Seller Hub or My eBay as well as in your next invoice.

  • This Promotion is only valid for listings on the US site at ebay.com or with an eBay Mobile application in the US.
  • Items must sell on or before March 31, 2020 or before the Seller is activated in managed payments, whichever is sooner.
  • All listings must comply with all applicable eBay policies, including eBay’sDuplicate Listing policy that allows for the removal of duplicate fixed price listings.
  • Fees for optional listing upgrades (such as reserve price, subtitle, Gallery Plus, listing in two categories, etc.) will still apply. Not all features are available in all listing flows.
  • Any applicable PayPal fees will still apply. 

Promotion is subject to U.S laws, void where prohibited, not redeemable for cash, and has no face value. eBay may cancel, amend, or revoke the Promotion at any time, including in response to fraudulent activity. eBay reserves the right to bill for transactions deemed fraudulent.
