In Selling Manager, you can search for a specific item.
The search will be performed only in the view that you're currently in. It will not search across all 6 views.
Available search fields
From the specified views, you can use the following fields to find the items that you're looking for:
Item title (all views, this will be template title on the Inventory view)
Item description (available only in Active view)
Item number (all views except Scheduled view and Product view)
Buyer User ID (all views except Scheduled view)
Buyer email (available only in Sold view and Archived view)
Product name (Inventory view)
Part Number (Inventory view)
Sales Record (Sold view and Archived view)
Using keyword searches
With Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro, you can use a keyword search.
Keyword searches for buyer email, item title, item description, and product name
For buyer email, item title, item description, and product name searches, you do not need to enter the exact text for the email address, item title, item description, or product name. You can just type the prefix of the email address or type any word in an item title, item description, or product name and the search will return all results containing that matching keyword.
Searches for multiple keywords
Use a multiple keyword search to narrow your search to get more specific results. The table below shows you how to use a multiple keyword search to return the listings that you want.
Search Goal |
Command |
Example search |
Items returned |
Listings that contain 2 or more keywords |
Separate the keywords with a space |
Pez dispenser blue |
Listings with all 2 words in the title, in any order |
Listings that contain 2 or more keywords in a specific order |
Enclose the keywords in quotation marks. The keywords must be in the exact order that you want to search for. |
"Gone With the Wind" |
Listings with titles containing the exact phrase "Gone With the Wind," but not just "wind," or "Gone With Wind." |
Searching from invoice, email, or feedback pages
If you perform a search from a non-view page such as an invoice or Feedback page, the search will be performed in the view that you accessed the page from. For example, if you accessed an invoice from the Sold view and then decided to search for other items that you sold to that same buyer, the search would only return items from your Sold view.
