What you can revise in a listing depends on the type of the listing, the time left before it ends, and whether you have received any bids or sales.
Auction-style listings

Change any information except the format. In addition, the duration can't be extended if 2 or more hours have passed since the listing was submitted. Remove the following optional features: Buy It Now, eBay picture upgrades, reserve price, 10-day listing. Add optional features to increase your item's visibility. Reduce the starting price of your item. (You won't receive credit for the difference in your insertion fees.)

Fixed price listings
Note: Two hours after you create a fixed-price listing, you can no longer change the duration.

What you can change:
Change the quantity and Store category.
Add or remove optional features.
Add pictures using eBay picture services.
Lower the Buy It Now price of your item.
Increase or decrease the number of items for sale.
Edit the shipping details. However, buyers who made a purchase prior to any shipping details changes will be charged the original shipping cost during checkout.
What you can change:
Change any information except the selling format.
Change the listing title as long as there are at least 12 hours left before the listing ends.
Add or change the gallery picture.
Add pictures using eBay picture services.
Decrease the Buy It Now price of your item.
Increase or decrease the number of items for sale.
Edit the shipping details.
Additional information about Good 'Til Cancelled Listings
On a Good 'Til Cancelled fixed price format listing, you might be limited in what you can revise during the last 12 hours before the listing renews. Once the listing renews, you'll be able to make further revisions.
You can't revise the duration of a Good 'Til Cancelled listing. In addition, you can't change the duration of a current listing to Good 'Til Cancelled.
Additional information about fixed price listings with pending Best Offers
You can make limited changes if you have a pending Best Offer. After you respond to the Best Offer, you can change any information except the format and duration.
If you have pending Best Offers you can:
Add or remove optional listing upgrades (except subtitle)—you won't receive a refund for the cost of the listing upgrade
Change buyer requirements
Classified Ad listings
You can change any information in a Classified Ad listing except the category.
