How to revise your listings

To revise a single listing:

Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.
Under the Activity tab and Sell section, click Active.
The list of items you are currently selling appears.
Next to the item you want to edit, select Revise from the pull-down menu.

The Revise Your Listing page appears.
Make your changes on the Revise Your Item page. If a section is highlighted in gray, it can no longer be changed.
Click the Save and Continue button.
Review your changes and then click the Save Changes button.

To revise multiple listings:

Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.
Under the Activity tab and Sell section, click Active.

Your list of items appears.
Select the check boxes for the listings that you want to revise, and click the Edit button.

Note: You may only revise 10 listings at once.
Specify the information that you want to edit in your listings on the Edit Listings: Listing Information page.
Select Edit listings individually to make different changes to each individual listing.

–or–

Select Edit listings in bulk to make the same changes to all of the listings (according to their selling format).
Click the Continue button.

If you selected the Edit listings individually option, the Edit Listings: Edit Individual Listings page will appear.

If you selected the Edit listings in bulk option, the Edit Listings: Edit Listings in Bulk page will appear.
Make the necessary changes to your listings and click the Continue button.
Review your changes on the Edit Listings: Review & Submit page.
Click the Submit button to submit your changes. If you’d like to make more changes before submitting the new information, click the Back button.

To edit listings using Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, use the Active view.

What you can revise and when

What you can revise depends on the time left before the listing ends and whether you've received any bids or sales.

The following tables show the changes that you can make based on the type of listing, the time left before it ends, and whether you have received any bids:

Auction-style listing

More than 12 hours	No	Change any information except the format. In addition, the duration cannot be extended if two or more hours have passed since the listing was submitted. Add optional features to make your item stand out (for example, bold) Add or change a Gallery picture. Add or change pictures using eBay Picture Hosting. Add a second category. Add international site visibility. Remove the following optional features only: Buy It Now, eBay Picture Upgrades, Reserve Price, 10-day listing, international site visibility. Reduce the start price of your item. (You will not receive credit for the difference in your insertion fees.)
More than 12 hours	Yes	Add a second category. Add to the item description. Add pictures using eBay Picture Hosting. Add optional features to make your item stand out (for example, bold) Add international site visibility (if the listing meets all requirements). Reduce the reserve price of your item, if it has not been met. (You will not receive credit for the difference in your insertion fees.)
Less than 12 hours	No	Add Item Specifics. Add to the item description. Add optional features to make your item stand out (for example, bold). Add page view counters. Add or change a Gallery picture. Add a second category. Add pictures using eBay Picture Hosting. Add new payment methods and ship-to locations. Add international site visibility (if the listing meets all requirements).

Fixed Price listing

Anytime while listing is active	Yes	Revise price, quantity, and store category. Add or remove optional features. Add to the description. Add pictures using eBay Picture Hosting. Raise or lower the start price of your item. (You will not receive credit for the difference in your insertion fees.) Increase or reduce the number of items for sale. Change shipping details such as cost and services.

Classified Ad listing

You can change only the categories for Classified Ad listings if the insertion fees are the same.

More than 12 hours	Yes	Not applicable. Classified Ad listings do not have bids.
Less than 12 hours	No	Revise any information except the selling format. You can change some Item Specifics but not the category.

The fine print

If you want to revise your listing but there are less than 12 hours before it ends, or there are bids for the item, you need to end your listing early and relist it with your changes.
You can't change the listing format (for example, you can't change from an auction-style listing to a Fixed Price listing).
If more than two hours have passed since you submitted the listing, you can't extend the listing duration.
Removing a bid doesn't enable you to revise the listing.
