Some categories – Books, Digital Cameras, and Cell Phones are just a few examples – contain items associated with products in our growing catalog. If you’re listing in one of these categories, you'll be able to add product details and a stock photo from our catalog to your listing.
Using product details?
Product details can help you create complete listing descriptions that are more visible and appealing to buyers. When you use product details in your listing, they:
Make listing easier and descriptions more complete
Also show up on our product details page—making it easier for buyers to find your listing
Are supported by eBay seller tools, such as Turbo Lister and Selling Manager, and some third-party providers. (Sellers using third-party providers may want to check to see if their providers use product details.)
Can be added to your existing listing templates.
Adding product details to your listing?
When you create your listing, you'll select a category (for example, Books), and possibly a subcategory (such as Fiction or Non-Fiction). For some items in certain categories, you may be asked to select a product.
If the item you’re listing is associated with a product in our catalog, you'll be prompted to search for the product using a unique identifier—such as an ISBN for a book, a manufacturer's part number for an MP3 player, or a keyword such as a brand or product name. If your item matches a product in our catalog, you'll be offered product details and a stock photo for your listing. Be sure to select the product that accurately describes your item.
Here are some examples of unique identifiers:

Note: Listing an item with product details from our catalog, but then describing a different item in the description isn't appropriate. For example, if you're using the product details for a book (which has a specific ISBN), you're not allowed to say in your description that you have an audio book version of the same title. See our search and browse manipulation policy for more information.
Adding a product to our catalog
If you can't find your product in the list that appears on the "Find your product" page, you can ask us to add it to our catalog.
To request that a product be added to our catalog:Click the Submit a catalog addition request link at the bottom of the Sell Your Item form. You may need to scroll down to see the link.
Enter details about the product you want us to add, then click Submit information.
Reporting missing or wrong product details
Product details and stock pictures may be changed or removed from time to time. When significant changes occur, we'll let you know. However, eBay isn't responsible for this content because it's provided by other companies. Always confirm the accuracy of the information before you list your item.
If you find wrong or missing information (for example, the release year is incorrect), please report the mistake:
On the “Review product details” or "Create your listing" page, click Submit a change request.
Fill in the correct information.
If you'd like to receive updates about your request, select the box next to "It's okay to email me with status updates about this request."
Note: This option may not be available with some relisting forms.
The fine print
The catalog product details don't cover product condition. Because product condition is one of the top purchasing criteria for eBay buyers, be sure to provide the product's condition using item specifics.
