Payment due dates
In this article

This page is about seller payments to eBay. Learn about how to pay for eBay purchases.

The date your payment is due depends on the date we create your invoice.

We'll create your invoice on either the 15th of the month or the last day of the month (as long as you have a balance due of at least $1.00). You'll receive your invoice by email within 5 days of the day it's created. Your invoice will include your previous month's account activity as well as any past due amounts. Your full payment is due before we create your next invoice.

For example, if you receive an invoice on May 20th, your payment is due by June 15th.

Note: The date we create your invoice was determined when you registered your account, and cannot be changed. We also can't change your payment due date.

See our table of due dates to find your due date.

If you have an automatic payment method on file, find out the date we'll charge that payment method.

Finding the date we create your invoice each month

The date we create your invoices each month appears on your Account Activity page.

To find the date we create your invoice:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then click Seller Account.

  3. On the next page, click the All account activity link under your current balance.

  4. On the next page, look for the label Latest invoice amount, which is under the Account Summary heading. Next to this label will be a date in parenthesis. This is the date of your most recent invoice. If that date is the 15th, we create your invoices on the 15th day of each month. If that date is the last day of the month, that's the day we create your invoices.

Paying your invoice

Important: You don't need to make a payment if you have an automatic payment method on file. To find out if you have an automatic payment method on file already, take a look at your Seller Account page.

To see if you have a payment method on file:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then click Seller Account.

  3. Scroll down to the section titled Payment methods for Seller Fees to find out your current payment method.

Your payment will be automatically processed by your payment due date if any of the following are true:

If you don't have any of these payment options on your account, you'll need to make a one-time payment by the due date. This will keep your account current.

Payment requirements and late fees

eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with an amount due of $1.00 or more.

Note: In the event your seller's account is suspended for any reason, any amount due on your account will immediately become due and payable. eBay reserves the right to immediately charge any amount you have not previously disputed to the payment method that you have on file. If you have not paid your amount due by the payment due date each month, you will be billed a late payment charge of 1.5% of the balance past due or the highest amount permitted by applicable law, whichever is lower.

This charge will be applied on the day after the payment due date. It will be applied each month until the overdue amount is paid.

If your account becomes past due, your account may be suspended for non-payment, and you may be responsible for collection costs.

For accounts over 180 days past due, action may include deducting the amount owed from your PayPal account balance.
