National listings and Local Classified Ad fees are based on (among other criteria) whether you're a low- or high-volume seller.
Low- or high-volume seller?
Each time you submit a vehicle listing or relist a vehicle, it counts as 1 listing.
You're a low-volume seller if you've submitted 6 or fewer listings in each of the previous calendar years.
When you've submitted 7 or more listings in a single calendar year, you're considered a high-volume seller. Once you become a high-volume seller, you're permanently a high-volume seller and high-volume seller fees apply.
A calendar year starts on January 1 and ends on December 31.
Seller A has never listed on eBay Motors. He lists 2 cars between January 1 and July 30. One car does not sell, so he relists it. It does not sell again, so he relists it a second time. When the next calendar year starts on January 1, because Seller A submitted 4 listings the previous year, he is still eligible for low-volume seller fees.
Seller B has also never listed on eBay Motors. She lists 6 different cars between January 1 and November 30. She is charged low-volume seller fees. When she lists a seventh car on December 15, she's no longer considered a low-volume seller and fees for high-volume sellers apply because she has submitted more than 6 listings in a calendar year. When the next calendar year starts on January 1, she'll be considered a high-volume seller.
You may be charged a listing (or insertion) fee for listing a vehicle. If applicable, you're charged one insertion fee per listing.
Insertion fees for National listings and Local Classified Ads are based on if you're a low- or high-volume seller.
Insertion fees for Local Market listings vary depending on your Local Market subscription agreement.
Successful listing fee
If the vehicle sells, you may be charged a successful listing fee. There are no successful listing fees for Local Classified Ads.
For National listings, you may be charged a successful listing fee if:
You receive a bid on an auction-style listing without a reserve price
You receive a bid that meets your reserve price on an auction-style listing with a reserve price
A buyer clicks Buy It Now in a listing offering a fixed price
You accept a Best Offer
The amount of the successful listing fee depends on if you're a low- or high-volume seller, and the vehicle price.
The vehicle price is the final bid amount, Buy It Now price, or accepted Best Offer.
There's no additional fee charged on the actual sale of the vehicle after it sells. However, you'll be charged a successful listing fee regardless of whether you carry out the sale with the buyer.
Advanced listing upgrade fees
If you add advanced listing upgrades to your National listing, fees apply. (Advanced listing upgrades aren't available for Local Classified Ads.)
Supplemental service fees
If you use supplemental services, charges associated with these services may be included on your seller invoice as fees.
Listing your vehicle nationally is often a good choice for older, more unique cars.
You have the option of an auction-style or fixed price selling format
Auction-style durations: 3, 5, 7, or 10 days. (There's an extra fee for a10-day duration.)

If you use supplemental services or other services offered by eBay or third parties, then charges associated with those services may also be treated as fees. Depending on the service, and at eBay's option, these charges may be included on seller invoices as a fee, which may be charged to your automatic payment method on file, if any.
Insertion fees and advanced listing upgrade fees apply to each listing you create, are charged at the time of listing, and are nonrefundable. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.
Not all listing upgrades are available with every listing tool and not all advanced listing upgrades, when purchased, may be displayable across all our sites, services, applications, and tools.
We require payment in full each month on accounts with an amount due of $1 or more. If you haven't paid the amount due by the payment due date each month, late fees may apply. Learn more about payment requirements, due dates, and late fees.
We may limit the exposure of duplicate auction-style listings to ensure a positive buyer experience. If you list duplicate, identical auction-style listings, you'll be charged the full insertion fee for each listing even if a listing doesn't appear on eBay for the full duration of the listing. When you submit your listing, it might not appear immediately in a keyword or category search. This can take up to 24 hours. Therefore, we can't guarantee exact listing durations.
