Listing in Two Categories

Reach more buyers and generate more interest in your item by listing in two categories. For example, you could list a vintage table from Japan in both the Asian Antiques category and the Antique Furniture category.

Fees:

Listing in two categories increases your Insertion Fee as well as the fees for most listing upgrades (Bold, Gallery, and so on). Fees for Scheduled Listings, Home Page Featured, Motors Home Page Featured, and Final Value Fees remain the same whether you list in one category or two.

For specific fee information, please see the Listing Upgrade section of the Fees page.

Restrictions on eBay.com

Sellers can list in any two categories across the site except for the following:

  • Adult items: You may not list an adult-oriented item in category outside of eBay's Mature Audiences section. If you do, your item will be moved to the appropriate category and no fees will be refunded. You can list your item in two subcategories within Mature Audiences. For more information on Mature Audiences categories, please review our Mature Audiences policy.

  • Real Estate: Listing in two categories is not available.

  • Multiple Item Auctions: List in Two Categories is not available for Multiple Item Auctions (Dutch Auctions). If you have multiple items for sale and would like to list in two categories, we recommend that you split up your items and list the two lots in different categories.

  • Business & Industrial - Capital Equipment: Listing in two categories is not available.

Note: As always, please list your item in appropriate categories. eBay investigates complaints and will move your item if necessary.

eBay Motors items

Now you can get exposure on both ebay.com and eBay Motors with one listing. Note: Listing in two categories applies to vehicle parts and accessories only. You cannot list in two categories when you are selling a motor vehicle.

  • List an item on eBay Motors in the Parts and Accessories category (primary category) and chose a second category on ebay.com.

Example: You can list a car stereo in the Parts and Accessories category of Motors (first category) and the Consumer Electronics category on ebay.com (second category).

  • List an item on ebay.com in any category (primary category) and chose Parts and Accessories on eBay Motors as a second category.

Example: You can list a car stereo in the Consumer Electronics category on ebay.com (first category) and the Parts and Accessories category on eBay Motors (second category).

  • List an item in two different Parts and Accessories categories on eBay Motors.
