Selling on the Global Buying Hub
In this article

Listing your items on the Global Buying Hub is free. Your listings on the Global Hub appear exactly as they do on eBay.com, and you can reach millions of buyers without creating separate listings for sites in individual countries.

The Global Buying Hub is different from eBay sites for individual countries in that instead of having to list in all the countries where you want to sell, you only need to list once and specify where you are willing to ship. Buyers can then browse on the Global Buying Hub in their own languages, in their own time zones, and with your listings showing the buyers' own currencies.

Tip: Some words are spelled differently in different countries (for example, check in the U.S. and cheque in the U.K.) and some terms have different meanings. Consider using spellings and meanings that apply to all the countries where you’re listing your item.

Listing on the Global Buying Hub

To be listed on the Global Buying Hub you only need to specify shipping information for the locations you choose.

Here’s how you can list your items on the Global Buying Hub:
  1. On the “Choose a listing form” page, in the “sell your item form,” select More listing choices (long form).

  2. On the Create your listing page, scroll to the “Give buyers shipping details” section and click Add or remove options.

  3. Under “International shipping,” select Show international services and options. Click Save.

  4. Under “International Shipping,” select one of these shipping cost options from the drop-down menu:

    • Flat: Same cost to all buyers

    • Calculated: Cost varies according to buyer location

  5. From the “Ship to” drop-down menu, select Choose custom location.

  6. Select the regions to which you're willing to ship. You can select as many as you like.

  7. Under “Additional ship to locations”, select any additional places for which you want shipping costs to be calculated.

  8. Complete your listing by filling in the other categories in the form, and submit it.

Seller Qualifications

To sell globally, your item and category need to meet the selling requirements for the eBay site in each country where you sell, and you as a seller must be eligible for the global site. Qualifications include:

  • A minimum Feedback score of 10

  • Your eBay account is in good standing

  • You have a PayPal account and are PayPal Verified

  • You meet the selling requirements of the sites where you want visibility

International Shipping

We recommend that you include a shipping carrier and cost because items with this information attract more buyers. Here are some things to consider when shipping internationally:

  • Shipping costs. Costs to ship to other countries can vary greatly depending on the distance and shipping methods. Most sellers specify that buyers pay the shipping costs for international sales.

  • Insurance. We recommend that you insure any packages being shipped internationally. Check with your carrier to find out whether they provide automatic coverage.

  • Customs and documentation. All internationally shipped packages must clear customs in the destination country, and you'll need to complete the appropriate customs forms.

You need to specify a shipping carrier and cost in the Shipping Details section of your listing, not doing so could have negative impact on your placement within search results.

To specify shipping:
  1. On the Sell Your Item form, Click the "Add or remove options" link.

  2. Select the Show international services and options check box.

  3. Click the Save button.
