Selling with Get It Fast gives buyers added confidence that an item will arrive quickly. It's also a great way to increase your sales of seasonal and gift items.

When you sell with Get It Fast, you may be eligible for an automatic 5-star shipping time detailed seller rating. Learn more about detailed seller ratings.

Get It Fast requirements

By listing a Get It Fast item, you commit to do the following:

Offer at least 1 domestic overnight shipping service. When you list your item, add an overnight service (such as USPS Priority Mail Express Flat Rate Envelope, USPS Priority Mail Express Legal Flat Rate Envelope, UPS Next Day Air, or FedEx Priority Overnight) to the list of domestic shipping services that you offer. You can still offer other shipping services, including other overnight services.
Ship the item within one business day of receiving cleared payment. When you list your item, select either same business day or 1 business day from the Handling time drop-down menu.
Offer buyers a quick and safe payment method, such as PayPal. If you do offer PayPal, you may also want to use the Require immediate payment option. This will encourage the buyer to complete the payment right away so you can ship the item sooner.

Important: When you select a handling time of same business day or 1 business day, you commit to shipping the item either on the same business day or within 1 business day after receiving a cleared payment, even if the buyer doesn't select an overnight shipping service.

Selling Get It Fast items

To list an item using Get It Fast:
  1. In the Choose a format and price section of the listing form, create either an auction-style listing with a Buy It Now price or a fixed price listing.

  2. In the Add shipping details section, create a new shipping policy.

  3. In the Create shipping policy dialogue box, find the US shipping section. In the Services drop-down menu, select a one-day shipping service.

  4. In the Handling time drop-down menu, select Same business day or 1 business day.

  5. In the Get It Fast section, select the checkbox and click Save and close.

Estimated delivery date

Get It Fast listings display an estimated delivery date to let buyers know how soon they can receive the item.

The Get It Fast estimated delivery date is calculated by taking the current date, adding your handling time (same business day or 1 business day), and then adding the delivery time of the fastest shipping service you offer (for example, 1 business day for UPS Next Day Air). An estimated delivery date is also shown for any other shipping services you offer.


This example assumes that December 20 through 23 are business days.

On December 20, you list an item with a Buy It Now price and create a shipping policy with a Get It Fast option selected. You specify that your domestic handling time is 1 business day, and you offer UPS Next Day Air as one of your shipping services. You also offer PayPal as a payment method.

On December 21, a buyer is looking for a last-minute Christmas gift and sees your listing. The buyer purchases the item using Buy It Now and pays right away with PayPal. The buyer selects UPS Next Day Air as the shipping service.

On December 22, after confirming you've received the cleared payment, you ship the item using UPS Next Day Air.

On December 23, the buyer receives the item—in time for Christmas—and leaves positive Feedback for you.


  • "Cleared payment" means that the funds from the buyer's payment have been deposited into your PayPal account.

  • "Business days" are weekdays—Monday through Friday. Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays are not considered business days.

  • The Get It Fast feature applies only as long as your item has a Buy It Now price. On most auction-style listings with a Buy It Now price, the Buy It Now option disappears after an opening bid is placed.
