Using Marketing Tools
By promoting your items—showing buyers the right items at the right time—you give buyers more options during their shopping experience. Showing other items can help you sell more items per buyer, and sell to more buyers. Your items appear with thousands of other listings and in emails to drive traffic to your listings and your Store.
To help buyers find what they're looking for, we may show relevant items from other sellers on your listing.
Your qualifying items will automatically appear on other relevant listings. This gives your listings more exposure in a prominent place. For maximum exposure, make sure your items have high-quality images, are clearly titled and specify as many details as possible, such as brand, size, color, and format.
Where buyers see your promoted items
Buyers can see your other listings in several places:
On eBay: Related, qualifying listings may appear in other sellers' open and closed listings (and other sellers' listings may be displayed in your listings.) They may also appear on search pages, in My eBay, after checkout, and on other pages.
Emails: Your listings may be included in emails we send to buyers when an item they bid on is no longer available, or in email alerts for watched items.
Mobile apps: The iPhone, iPad, and Android apps all incorporate listings and promotions in various places.
