End of Auction Email

When your listing ends successfully (either with a winning bidder or with someone who used the Buy It Now option), eBay will send an End of Auction Email or End of Transaction Email to notify the buyer to pay you.

This email includes:
  • Information about the item, such as the item number and title
  • Your payment instructions from the listing
  • A Pay Now button that makes it easy for the buyer to begin the payment process

You can include your own content, as detailed below.

Note:Your custom content will appear only for listings where you’ve offered PayPal as a payment method.

Logo
You can include the logo for your business. If you’re an eBay Store seller, you will probably want to include the logo of your eBay Store. This option is provided automatically for you.

Custom message
You can enter your own message in this box.
  • To get ideas for your message, click on the “See message examples” link. You can even copy and paste the examples into your own message.
  • To personalize the message further, such as by having the buyer’s User ID automatically included each time, use the AutoText feature. Select a choice from the drop-down menu and click the Insert button.

Other options
You can choose to receive a copy of the custom email whenever it’s sent to a winning buyer.
