Business Seller: Overview

As a business seller, you may be required by law to provide additional details about your business in your listings.

Business sellers who sell items over the Internet may be required to provide their customers with important information to help complete the transaction. This may include information about the seller's identity, contact information, and other details. You can display this information in all of your listings.

Depending upon your business situation it may be necessary that you provide further information to comply with the applicable laws. Please type or paste additional information into the Additional Legally Required Contact Information field. You may want to consult your legal advisor for further information.

If you have registered as an individual, you can change your account to a business account in My eBay.

To change your account type from individual to business:
  1. Go to My eBay.

  2. Click the "Personal Information" link under the "My Account" heading.

  3. Click the "Edit" link next to "Account Type."

  4. On the Change Account Type page, select the "Business" option, and then click the Continue button.

  5. Enter your business name, and then click the Change to Business Account button.

To change your account type from business to individual:
  1. Go to My eBay.

  2. Click the "Business Information" link under the "My Account" heading.

  3. Click the "Edit" link next to "Account Type."

  4. On the Change Account Type page, click the Change to Individual Account button.
