Selling Manager Pro: Using Auto Text to insert buyer and listing information
In Selling Manager Pro, you can use AutoText to personalize your buyer emails by automatically inserting the buyer's name, listing URL, or other variable text.
To insert Auto Text:Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then click Manage communications with buyers.
On the next page, click the kind of email you want to edit.
Click the Add a message link.
In the text box where you enter the message to your buyer, place the cursor where you want to include the Auto Text.
Select the text you want to include from the Add to message list on the right. It will be inserted at that spot in the message.
Note: To preview the Auto Text variables before sending an email, click the Preview link near the bottom of the page.
Once you're finished editing your message, click the Save button.
Note: The Auto Text displays in the message where you placed your cursor, enclosed in {curly brackets}. When you send the email, the {Auto Text} will be replaced by the Auto Text variable you chose (for example, the individual buyer's name).
