Loss of PowerSeller status
The following are examples of items which violate eBay’s Enabling Duplication of Copy-Protected Material Policy:
DVD “ripping” software that enables members to duplicate copy-protected DVDs
CD “ripping” software that enables members to copy ‘uncopyable’ video games, software programs, or other CD-ROMs is not allowed on eBay.

A book on how to copy a copy-protected DVD is not permitted on eBay.
Why does eBay have this policy?
eBay wants to ensure its sellers and buyers comply with all governmental laws and regulations. Since the duplication of copy-protected materials is prohibited by law, regulated, or may cause harm to eBay or its members, sellers may not list items on eBay that encourage this behavior.
