Shipping large UPS packages
If you're sending a large package with UPS, here's some information you may find helpful.
Calculating dimensional weight
For most shipments, UPS charges you based on the item's dimensional weight instead of its actual weight. You can find instructions for calculating dimensional weight on the UPS website.
UPS allows packages up to 165 inches in length plus girth.
Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is defined as the length of the string you would need if you wrapped it around the 2 smaller sides of a package.
If the longest side of your package is over 60 inches or the second longest side is over 30 inches, it's considered an irregular package. You should select the Irregular package check box when you list your item
