Sending a combined invoice

When a buyer purchases more than one item from you, you can send that buyer a combined invoice. A combined invoice lets a buyer send you a single payment for multiple purchases, saving you both time. You can also offer shipping discounts to buyers who purchase multiple items from you.

Turning on eBay checkout

Before you can send combined invoices, you need to make sure eBay checkout is enabled.

To turn on eBay checkout:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then select Site Preferences.

  3. Click the Show link next to Payment from buyers.

  4. Click the Edit link. You may need to sign in again.

  5. In the Checkout Preference section, make sure the Use Checkout check box is selected.

  6. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

Sending a combined invoice

A buyer can send you a single payment for multiple purchases if you send the buyer a combined invoice.

To send a combined invoice:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. Click the Sold link under the Sell heading on the left side of the page.

  3. Find any item purchased by the buyer you want to send a combined invoice, and click the Send invoice link next to that item.

  4. On the next page, all the items purchased by that buyer that haven't had an invoice sent for them yet will be listed. If there are any items listed that you don't want on the combined invoice, clear the check boxes next to those items.

  5. Add shipping and sales tax charges if appropriate.

  6. Enter a message to the buyer (optional) and select the payment methods you accept.

  7. If you'd like to preview the invoice, select the Preview invoice before sending link. Otherwise, click the Send Invoice button.

Adding Items to an existing invoice

If you sent a buyer an invoice, and want to add additional items to that invoice, you can do so as long as the buyer hasn't already started the payment process and less than 30 days have passed since the original items were purchased.

To add items purchased to an existing invoice:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. Click the Sold link under the Sell heading on the left side of the page.

  3. Locate items you've already combined on one invoice. They'll be grouped under the buyer's user ID. Click the More actions link in the drop-down menu located in the same row as the buyer's user ID, select Send invoice.

Note: If you don't see the Send invoice option in the drop-down menu, it means you can no longer add items to this invoice and you'll need to send your buyer a separate one.

  4. On the next page, all the items purchased by that buyer that you can add to the invoice will be listed. If there are any items included that you don't want on the combined invoice, clear the check boxes next to those items.

  5. Add shipping and sales tax charges if appropriate.

  6. Enter a message to the buyer (optional) and select the payment methods you accept.

  7. If you'd like to preview the invoice, select the Preview invoice before sending link. Otherwise, click the Send Invoice button.
