How do I leave Feedback?

To leave Feedback for another member:

  1. Click the My eBay button at the top of any eBay page.

  2. Click the "Feedback" link under "My Account" on the left side of the page.

  3. Click the Leave Feedback button.

Leave Feedback for all your transactions.

Leaving Feedback is voluntary; however, eBay encourages all members to leave Feedback after each transaction is complete. There are different philosophies on whether the buyer or seller should leave Feedback first. Each member may choose the best approach to leaving Feedback.

You have the following options for leaving Feedback on eBay transactions:

  • Leaving Feedback for transactions over 90 days old

  • Leaving multiple Feedback

  • Leaving Feedback for a member who is no longer registered

  • Leaving Detailed Feedback

Leaving Feedback for transactions over 90 days old:

If you need to leave Feedback for a transaction that is more than 90 days old, you may be able to do so by entering the item number or user ID on the Leave Feedback page. Remember, eBay only commits to items being available for 90 days, so if the transaction is more than 90 days old, you may not be able to leave Feedback.

Leaving multiple Feedback

You can leave Feedback for a member more than once. However, to make sure that repeat Feedback is calculated in the Feedback Score, each transaction must end in a separate week. For Feedback, eBay defines a week as Monday through Sunday, Pacific Time.

For example, a buyer wins an item on Tuesday, receives it and gives the seller positive Feedback on Thursday. Then the buyer wins another item that week with the same seller. Any Feedback the buyer leaves for the second transaction will not count toward the seller's Feedback Score. But if the buyer wins another item a week later (the following Monday or later), the Feedback will count toward the seller's Feedback Score.

Leaving Feedback for a member who is no longer registered

The eBay Feedback system does not allow you to leave Feedback for someone who is not a registered user. This doesn't necessarily mean that you will never be able to leave Feedback for the member. The item will remain in My eBay for 90 days, and if the member is reinstated within that time, you can leave Feedback for the member then.

Leaving Detailed Feedback

In addition to leaving an overall Feedback rating for a seller, buyers also can leave detailed seller ratings in four areas: item as described, communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling charges.

Note: Remember that any Feedback you leave is public and permanent, so think carefully before leaving Feedback. Make sure that comments are fair and factual. If there is a dispute, try to resolve the differences before leaving Feedback.
