How do I pay for my item?

How you pay for an item depends on the payment methods accepted by the seller. Carefully read the item description before you bid or buy to find out what methods the seller accepts. Find out more about the advantages of different payment methods.

To pay for an item when the seller uses eBay checkout:
  1. After you buy or win an item, you'll be taken to the Review order page. (You can also click the Pay Now button, which you can find in the listing, the confirmation email you receive, or the Purchase history section of My eBay.)

  2. Make sure that your shipping details, payment method, and order details are correct.

  3. Click the Continue button.

Things to know

  • Make sure you pay for your item as soon as possible. If you don't pay within 2 days, the seller may open an unpaid item case.

  • You are only obligated to pay the seller using one of the payment methods specified in the eBay listing. If you have questions about your payment, contact your seller.

  • A seller can require you to pay immediately for an item. For immediate payment listings, the item remains available for purchase until you complete payment, or until the listing expires.

  • In Buy It Now listings, the first buyer who clicks Buy It Now and completes their PayPal payment officially wins the item.
