How do I add a note to an item I'm keeping track of?

You can use notes to remind yourself about:

  • Sellers you’ve enjoyed buying from

  • Gift ideas or other thoughts about an item

  • Searches you've saved

  • Shipping details

  • Questions you have for sellers

To add a note to an item:
  1. Find the item in My eBay, and click the drop-down menu on the right and select Add note.

  2. In the text box, type your note (up to 255 characters), and click the Save button.

Your notes are private, and will stay with the item through the buying or selling process. You can edit or delete your note whenever you want.

To edit or delete a note:
  1. Find the item in My eBay, and click the drop-down menu on the right and select Add note.

  2. To edit your note, make your edits and click Save. To delete the note, click “Delete.”
