Shopping on eBay in your language

In this article

We want to make global shopping easy by connecting sellers and buyers from all over the world. We know how important it is for you to be able to make a buying decision in your own language. To help with this, we have translated page information available for many languages and countries. In most cases, we can provide you with the item title and description, as well as information on how to purchase and pay for an item, in your own language.

How we translate information

Although currently not all pages are available in all languages, we're working hard to expand available languages and the number of pages translated.

To help with this process, we also use automated software to perform translations, known as "machine translation." We use machine translations from various sources, including but not limited to our own machine translation and Microsoft Translator (Bing), to generate some of the information on a page, such as listing information, into different languages.

As more information is translated, we may ask you for your thoughts on how we can improve our translations. We want to make the translated information on eBay as useful as we can, and we appreciate you sharing your experiences with us.

Switching to your language

If a translation of a page or listing is available in your language, you can switch to that language version:

  • On some pages, select your language at the top of the page.

  • On some listings, select the name of your language in the item description section.

Terms of use

eBay may contain machine-generated translations. Translation accuracy and availability is not guaranteed and is your sole responsibility. If there is any conflict between translated and original listing text, the original text is considered the official version. eBay may also contain translations from third-party machine translation vendors such as Microsoft, among others. Microsoft disclaims all warranties related to the translations, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
