If you have questions about an item or transaction, here’s how to contact eBay members. You’ll need to register as a member to contact others.
Ask a question about an item
You can contact sellers to ask questions before, during, or after a sale. Here's how:
Read the listing thoroughly. You’ll sometimes find FAQs or Questions from other members in the item description or in the section below the item description.
On the listing page, click the Ask a question link.
Send a message to another member
You can send a message to another member through our email forwarding system. Here’s how:
Click the user ID of the member you want to email. If you know the member’s user ID or email address, you can enter it here.
On the member’s Feedback Profile page, click the Contact member link and enter your message.
We’ll keep your email address, and that of the other member, confidential. You can view and respond to your messages by visiting My eBay and clicking the Messages tab. In the Contacts section on the left side of the page, click the Find & Contact a Member link.
Request a member’s contact information
If you’re involved in a current or recent transaction, and can’t reach the other member through email, you can request the other member’s contact information. Here’s how:
Click the Advanced Search link at the top of most pages.
In the Members section on the left side of the page, click the Find contact information link.
Enter the user ID of the member and the transaction's item number.
We’ll send the contact information, including the member’s name, city, and telephone number, to your registered email address. The member will also receive your contact information. You’ll both need to respect our Privacy Policy when using this information.
Read our contact information policy for more information.
Find a member's Feedback profile
To find a member's Feedback Profile, search using their user ID or email address.
Some limitations
We respect our members’ privacy. That’s why you can only request contact information for members if you have current or recent transactions with them. If you haven’t had a transaction with a member, we’ll give you limited information.
Contact information for international users may be limited by international laws.
