When you register as an eBay member you can bid on and purchase items from all over the world. We won't share your personal information without your consent. Learn more about how we protect your personal information.

Registration steps

To register, go to the registration page, and follow these steps:

1. Enter your information.
You'll be asked to enter your name and email address, and to choose an eBay user ID and password. If you're attempting to buy, sell, or contact a member, we may also ask you to provide contact information. 
When you click Submit, you're agreeing that you've accepted the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
2. Review your confirmation.
You'll see a confirmation message with your eBay user ID and email address. If it's correct, click the Yes, continue button. If not, click the No, please send to another email address link.
You're all set! We may need to ask you for a few more pieces of information as you start to buy, sell, or contact another member.

Registering two accounts

Some members find that having two accounts is a convenient way to organize a large number of items, or to sell different kinds of items. However, keep in mind that:

  • Both accounts must have different user IDs and different email addresses.

  • The two accounts can never be used in the same listing.
