How can I watch or stop watching a thread on a discussion board?

If you want to know when users have responded to a particular message thread in an eBay Discussion Board or Answer Center topic, you can set up a watch. A watch allows you to see at a glance, or be notified by email, if the topic you are interested in has been updated. You can set up as many watches you want, and cancel watches at any time.

To set up a watched discussion board thread:
  1. Sign in to the discussion board, and click the link of the thread.

  2. Click the “Watch this Discussion” link in the right hand corner. This will add the question to your list of Watches.

To see a list of your watches, and choose how you’d like to be notified:
  1. Go to any discussion board page.

  2. Click the “Watches” link at the top right side of the page.

  3. For each Watch, use the drop-down menu to choose how often you want to be notified when a new comment has been added.

To stop watching a thread:
  1. Go to the discussion board you’re watching.

  2. Click “Sign in” at the top left side of the discussion board page.

  3. Click the “Stop Watching Thread” link at the top right side of the page.

Note: After 30 days of no activity (if no one has posted any answers to that question) the Watch on that thread will automatically expire.
