Are you passionate about collecting? Got something on your mind? Discussion boards and chat rooms are the best places to go when you want to connect with other eBay members or share your expertise.
Discussion boards
Discussion boards are great places for members who want to express their opinions about a wide variety of topics, ask questions, or trade valuable tips. You’ll need to register to post a topic or message. Otherwise, you’re welcome to browse and read through the threads.
How to find discussion boards:Click the Community tab at the top right of any page.
Click the “Discussion Boards” link.
Our discussion boards include:
Category-specific boards: If you have a passion for a particular category, like pottery, antiques, or coins, this is the place.
Community help boards : Members answer questions, discuss best practices, and offer suggestions.
General discussion boards: Our general discussion boards are friendly places where members can relax and hang out, or share opinions and suggestions.
Workshops board: Find out aboutonline workshops hosted by members and staff on a wide variety of topics. Visit our Workshop Calendar for more details.
eBay Giving Works: This board isfor those interested in learning more about buying and selling for charity .
Chat Rooms
Our chat rooms are friendly, relaxed places where you can talk with other eBay members in a casual setting. Posting in chat rooms gives you more than a chance to talk, it’s also a way to increase your sales – with each post, you’ll get a link for “listings.” We have two kinds of chat rooms:
General chat rooms: Talk about everything from your favorite holiday memories to our newest features.
Category-specific chat rooms: You can meet thousands of other collectors with interests in antiques, coins, jewelry and more.
To post in a chat room:Click the Community tab at the top right of any page.
Click the ”Chat Rooms” link.
Select the chat room that interests you.
Click the Post a Message button, type your message in the box, and click the Save my Message! Button.
Chat rooms only hold 200 postings at a time. As new postings are added, old ones disappear. Post at a time when you can stay a bit to chat with others, as posts may disappear quickly.
Note: You can’t use chat rooms to buy, sell, or trade – just chat!
