BUYER QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

How do I find listings with Best Offer?
Look for the "Buy It Now or Best Offer" icon in the search results or a "Make offer" button on any item's description page. You can also visit our Advanced Search page or use the "Search options" section to find Best Offer listings.

How do I submit my offer?
Click the "Make Offer" button on the item listing page. Enter the price you'd like to pay. You can enter any amount, but try to choose a price that has a good chance to be accepted by the seller and beat out offers from other buyers. You can also add a personal message to the seller, explaining why you'd like to get the item at this price.

Next, click "Review Offer" and check that your offer price is correct. Remember, offers are binding, just like bids. If everything looks fine, then click "Confirm Best Offer." Your offer will be sent to the seller for their review.

Is there a minimum price for offers?
There's no minimum price for offers, but keep in mind that a reasonable offer will have a better chance of being accepted by the seller. You may also be competing with other buyers, so a higher offer might have a better chance to win.

How do I find out if my offer is accepted?
You'll receive an email from us notifying you that your offer has been accepted. You can also check the status of your offers and reply to them from your message center in My eBay.

What should I do if my offer is declined?
If the item is still available, you can submit a second offer to the seller. Ideally, you should submit an amount that's higher than your initial offer. Keep in mind that you have five chances to make an offer to the seller.

When you get to your third try, we'll remind you that this will be your last opportunity to make an offer. Be sure to provide your best possible price to improve your chances of winning.

How do counter offers work?
Just like bargaining in a store or bazaar, the seller may respond to your offer by suggesting a compromise price, which you can accept, decline or reply with your own counter offer.

You can continue to send offers until you come to a price that both of you can agree on, but remember, you only have five chances to make an offer. Make your offers wisely to make the most of the chances you've got to win.

How long should I wait for a response to my offer?
Sellers are advised to reply to offers as soon as possible. If you haven't heard back from a seller regarding your offer within two business days, send a message to the seller through your Message Center in My eBay.

Offers will expire in 48 hours. Visit My eBay to check on the status of your offers, and make another one if your offer has expired without a reply from the seller.

Can I take back an offer?
Offers are binding, just like bids. You're not allowed to retract bids, except under special circumstances. Learn more about our best offer policies.

1. How many offers can I make as a buyer?
You can usually make up to five offers per item. Some categories may allow more or fewer offers. For example, eBay Motors listings allow up to 10 offers per item.

2. How does Best Offer work when there's more than one item available?
You can make an offer for one item or for multiple items. However, your offer price should always be per item. If you're purchasing multiple items, enter your per item offer price and the quantity you want to buy at that price. Do not enter the total price as your offer.

For example, if there are five items listed at is $25.00 each and you would like to purchase three of these items at $20.00 each, be sure to enter $20.00 for your bid and enter the quantity of items you want at that per item price.

If you want three items at $20.00 each and you enter $60 (your desired total price for those three items) by mistake, your offer will be entered as $60 per item for three items for a total offer of $180. Be sure to check your offer carefully before sending it to the seller.
