 The Total Package
  • Not once. Not twice. But, three times. If UPS is unable to deliver a package, a notice will be left stating that a delivery was attempted. UPS will make three attempts with no additional charge to you. After three attempts, UPS will notify the intended recipient by mail and give them seven days to contact UPS. If UPS is still unable to complete delivery, the package will be returned to the shipper with no additional charge.
  • UPS packages are automatically protected against loss or damage for any amount up to $100 without any additional charges.
  • UPS also offers a Hold for Pickup service free of charge. UPS will deliver the package to the UPS facility you select and call your customer to pick up their shipment.

 UPS International Services
Around the corner or around the globe? It's no problem for UPS. Even if you are new to international shipping, UPS is not. UPS has the expertise to help you navigate your way through the global marketplace.

However, there are some special concerns with international shipping. If you need help you can visit UPS.com or call UPS' International Customer Service Center at 800-782-7892 to learn more. In the meantime, here are a few tips:

  • Need help with paperwork? UPS can help with required documentation for international shipping.
  • International rates include pickup and door-to-door delivery with routine in-house customs clearance. However, with Standard to Canada service, charges for customs clearance are not included.
  • UPS offers Customs and Brokerage Services with charges, duties, and taxes automatically billed to the receiver unless otherwise indicated by the shipper.
  • Keep in mind that your total cost can fluctuate when you ship internationally. An "extended area surcharge" may apply to specific international destinations.
  • Certain items are prohibited from international shipping. It is the shipper's responsibility to comply with government regulations or laws of each country.
