Holiday and Super Bowl seasons are big for Top-rated HDTV seller Jamie Wankum (user ID: brown-box). With the help of Unpaid Item Assistant, Wankum cut time dealing with unpaid items in half and gets the inventory relisted fast.
HDTV seller Dakota International Trading (user ID: brown-box) experienced significant time savings with Unpaid Item Assistant, now with an auto-relist option. "We've been able to cut time spent managing unpaid items in half," says owner Jamie Wankum.
Unpaid Item Assistant automatically opens a case when buyers don't pay within 4, 8, 16, 24, or 32 days—the seller decides.
Once a case is open, the buyer is blocked from leaving feedback for the transaction and has 4 days to pay. If they don't, the case closes in the seller's favor—the buyer's feedback remains blocked and any left before the case was opened is removed. The seller also gets a refund for the Final Value Fee.
With the Auto Relist option, sellers can have items back in front of buyers as soon as cases close, with less work. Wankum finds the faster turnaround especially useful for limited quantities. "When only 15 to 20 products are left in stock, relisting in 4 rather than 10 days makes a big difference," he explains. "We can quickly move the last two of a certain model."
Unpaid Item Assistant also lets sellers create a list of up to 5,000 buyers they want to exempt from the automated process. "If a customer asks for a few extra days to pay, we have the flexibility to give it to them, and we're happy to do it," says Wankum. "Special exceptions only apply about 2% of the time."
