How does 3D true view work?
3D true view captures video clips of the item and artificial intelligence stitches the clips together to create a holistic, 3D view of the item. Sellers use an app and anchoring background to capture the video. For best results, sellers can also use a photobox and a spinning platform. The app automatically generates the 3D animation, which you can add to your listing via an item specifics field in the listing experience.
In which categories is 3D true view available?
Currently, select sellers in the sneakers category are eligible to use 3D true view. In the near future, we will roll out the feature to more sneakers sellers. In 2022, we plan on rolling the feature out to more categories.
What categories are best suited for 3D true view?
3D true view is particularly helpful to buyers in categories where thorough examination of items is a key factor in their purchase decisions. Collectibles, such as rare or one-of-a-kind items, and sneakers in pre-owned condition are especially well suited for 3D true view.
When will I be eligible to use 3D true view?
3D true view is currently available to select sellers in some sneakers categories. We will expand the availability of 3D true view to more sellers soon.
