 Upcoming - New and Changed User ID Icons |
The User ID is an important part of a member's identity in the eBay Community. Now, we are introducing two new icons to make it even easier to quickly identify the status of a member's User ID. For the first 30 days after joining eBay or changing their eBay User ID, members currently receive a small "shades" icon  next to their feedback score. Over the years, we have heard from many eBay members who are confused by this icon, or who feel that the icon is not a positive reflection of their eBay reputation.
In a few weeks, we will introduce two new icons to replace the shades icon. There will be one icon for new users, and another for those users who have changed their User ID. eBay will display the appropriate icon next to the user's feedback score for 30 days after that member joins or changes their User ID. New user icon: We believe that these new icons will make new members feel more welcome, and will more easily allow other Community members to reach out to these new members. In addition, we believe that this change will help members who may want to change their User ID feel more comfortable and positive about the change.
