   Jim Griffith
"Griff," as he is popularly known, has been the foremost education expert on eBay since 1996 when he was invited to join the company as its first customer support representative. For the past three years in his role as both eBay ambassador and instructor, Griff has been traveling around the country leading eBay University seminars and attending community gatherings on how to buy and sell on eBay.

With his intimate knowledge of every aspect of eBay, Griff educates people on everything from basic search tips to growing a serious business on eBay. Most importantly, he makes learning eBay fun and easy.

Using plain English and a sense of humor to put his audiences at ease, Griff can teach anyone-timid computer novice or long-time eBay seller alike-how to make their eBay searching, shopping and selling more effective.

Griff has shared his eBay expertise with audiences across the country. In addition to presenting at dozens of eBay University events, he's made more than 100 local and national television and radio appearances.

Griff is also the author of the Official eBay Bible and host of eBay Radio.

   Marsha Collier
Marsha Collier is the best-selling author of eBay for Dummies, Starting an eBay Business for Dummies and eBay Timesaving Techniques. She's also a Silver PowerSeller and has been on eBay since 1996.

After a successful career with the Miami Herald and the Daily News, she ran a flourishing home-based marketing firm - awarded "Small Business of the Year" from the California State Assembly in 1990.

She shares expertise with the media; including Barbara Walters on The View, Matt Lauer of The Today Show and Bryant Gumbel of The Early Show. Marsha has been quoted in Reader's Digest, Wired, USA Today, NY Times, Chicago Tribune and more.

   Janelle Elms
Janelle is a Silver PowerSeller on eBay and author of numerous eBay books, including the best-selling "eBay Your Business" book. She specializes in coaching individuals and companies how to build successful eBay businesses and maximize their profits. More than 75,000 people have benefited from Janelle’s depth of knowledge and expertise in eBay sales, marketing, customer service, and customer retention strategies.

   Cliff Ennico
Cliff Ennico, a nationally recognized expert on the legal and tax problems of small business, is best known as the co-host of the popular PBS television series MoneyHunt, where entrepreneurs defend their business plans before a panel of national experts. His nationally syndicated newspaper column, “Succeeding in Your Business”, appears in dozens of newspapers and business magazines nationwide. Cliff is also regular contributor to, the Website of Entrepreneur magazine. A former Wall Street lawyer, Cliff maintains his own law and business development consulting practice in Fairfield, CT, where he has helped over 10,000 businesses get off the ground in a 25-year career. His most recent book is “Small Business Survival Guide.

   Ted Janusz
Ted Janusz is an author, speaker, trainer, Gold PowerSeller, and an Education Specialist trained by eBay. Ted earned his MBA in marketing from the University of Pittsburgh and is a member of the International Speakers Network, National Speakers Association and the National Speakers Association of Ohio. In addition, Ted is a former professional entertainer - having performed at over 400 events as well as an avid runner - logging over 30,000 miles!

   Michael Kaiser
In 1997, a good friend told Michael about incredible deals she was finding on an internet auction site called eBay. Michael became so obsessed with eBay that in 1999 he co-authored, with his wife, Laura Fisher Kaiser, The Official eBay Guide to Buying, Selling and Collecting Just About Anything. Michael began instructing at eBay University in the spring of 2002. These days Michael not only buys and sells art glass, but uses eBay for many things. From laptops to vacuum cleaner bags to plants for his garden, he's always purchasing something.

Michael also has a day job as Director of Programs and Administration at the National Center for Victims of Crime, where their mission is to forge a national commitment to help crime victims rebuild their lives.

Teaching at eBay University is a great deal of fun for Michael. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of eBay and helping people gain the confidence to be successful buyers and sellers.

   Steve Lindhorst
In Spring 2000, Steve began working at eBay’s San Jose Headquarters as eBay’s Advertising Operations Manager.

In Feb. 2002 he was invited to become one of only six contracted eBay University Instructors. Since then he’s traveled to all parts of the U.S. and taught thousands how to use eBay for personal and business income through lectures and individual instruction.

Having a life-long love for cars, Steve was thrilled to be chosen as the sole outside instructor for eBay University for Motors. With personal experience in auto sales, he is able to effectively teach auto dealers to use eBay Motors as an additional sales channel. Steve continues to offer a Motors course for dealers, keeping the information fresh and up to date.

He currently offers group and individual instruction as an Education Specialist.

   Jason Miner
Jason has been a PayPal employee since April of 2000, and has been an educator for them nearly that long. He was the first PayPal employee to teach at eBay Universities, beginning immediately after eBay's acquisition of PayPal in October of 2002. Currently, he spends his weekdays as part of PayPal's Product Education team, providing educational support to employees of PayPal's Customer Care Center.

Jason's extensive knowledge of PayPal is complemented by having been an eBay buyer and seller since 1998, primarily to supplement his collection of 18,000 comic books and 1,500 DVDs.

   Peggy Pattavina
Peggy Pattavina has been a PayPal employee since August 2003. In that time, she has been active in a variety of roles for the company ranging from customer service, to Executive Escalations, which provides assistance to PayPal users with unique and proactive solutions to concerns in the marketplace and is now a Community Education Specialist. Peggy devotes additional time to planning corporate events and assists in running fundraisers for the local communities.

Peggy’s shopping habits on eBay looking for shoes and purses has helped her take the knowledge she knows about eBay and has turned it in to educating other eBay customer’s on how to use the system to work for them.

   Patti "Louise" Ruby
As a life-long collector, Louise was ecstatic to discover eBay (then known as Auction Web) in September of 1996. In early February 1997, Louise was honored to become eBay's second Customer Support representative. Louise has always loved teaching others how to effectively buy and sell on eBay, and enjoys meeting other members of the eBay community when teaching eBay University sessions.

Louise currently fills her time buying and selling on eBay, serving as Technical Editor of "eBay Bargain Shopping for Dummies", and spending time with her family.

   Catherine Seda
Since 1995, Catherine Seda has been helping companies grow their business using Internet marketing. As a columnist for Entrepreneur magazine and conference speaker, she teaches non-techie tips on search engine optimization, pay-per-click, link building, e-mail, affiliate marketing, web copywriting, and tracking results. She’s author of Search Engine Advertising and has shared search marketing strategies on eBay Radio.

Catherine is also a skeleton school survivor. Skeleton is a sport for insane people who race down the bobsled track head first on a sled at 70-80 mph. Catherine escaped the stitches, cracked ribs and concussions several classmates suffered during training at the Utah Olympic Park, and she’ll watch the 2006 games with all new respect for the athletes.

   Christopher Spencer
Christopher Spencer is the author of The eBay Entrepreneur and an eBay Shooting Star, Platinum PowerSeller, Trading Assistant, and eBay Education Specialist. He has been featured on the NBC Nightly News, in Time Magazine, in the Los Angeles Times and has appeared on many other television and radio programs as well as numerous magazines, newspapers and websites. Christopher has listed over 180,000 items on eBay since 1998.

Christopher travels extensively educating entrepreneurs on the finer points of using the eBay trading community. He left a 9 to 5 job to sell on eBay full time and now Christopher is an instructor with eBay University.

   Jack Waddick
Jack Waddick is an active PowerSeller on eBay with over 1,800 successful transactions. In addition to his travels as an eBay University instructor, he maintains a busy Chicago-area schedule as one of the top-rated Education Specialists Trained by eBay. Jack's enthusiasm for "doing eBay" has been shared with over 2,000 eBay students. He is also an avid marathon runner.
