Solution |
| Network problems are preventing Turbo Lister from communicating with eBay |
This error is the result of an issue with making a connection from your computer with the eBay servers. There are several possible reasons for this error, so you may try the following suggestions below.
1. This issue may be caused by you having the Email Address on your eBay account entered in the Turbo Lister program. Restrictions on the eBay site require that members have their User ID entered and not the Email Address. To update the information in Turbo Lister, please click "Tools -> Options". Next, expand the "Personal Information" option and click on "eBay Account". Click the "Change User ID or Password" button, and enter your eBay User ID for your eBay account.
2. This issue may also be caused by a problem with the msxml3.dll file on your computer. To register this file on your computer, please click "Start -> Run" and enter:
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
3. The date on your computer system being set incorrectly can also cause this error. If you have a year other than the current year set on your system, please change it to the current year. Also, the Date format should be in mm/dd/yy in Windows regional settings, which can be accessed from the Windows Control Panel.
4. If you have a firewall installed, you may need to configure it to support the current version of Turbo Lister. This can typically be done within your firewall application by enabling internet access to a specific application.
5. The Cipher Strength in your version of Internet Explorer may cause this issue. Click "Help -> About Internet Explorer" from within your copy of Internet Explorer. The Cipher Strength should be "128-bit". If not "128-bit" then please go to the following Microsoft page to see how to resolve this issue:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/128bit/default.asp
6. Also, even if you do not use Internet Explorer, you will need to have version 5.01 or newer installed on your computer. Turbo Lister uses components of Internet Explorer to communicate between your computer and the eBay API. The latest version of Internet Explorer can be found at:
http://microsoft.com/windows/ie/
7. The Cipher Strength in your version of Internet Explorer may cause this issue. Click "Help -> About Internet Explorer" from within your copy of Internet Explorer. | Users Unable To Create New Items or Edit Items in Turbo Lister |
Turbo Lister - User Unable to Create or Edit Items edit This issue may signal that there is a problem with your database in Turbo Lister, and you may need to create a new User File. First, please try the following suggestions to resolve this issue.
1) Be sure that the "Item Inventory" tab is selected. If you are viewing "Listings Waiting to Upload" the "Create New" button will not function.
2) Reboot your computer, and open the Turbo Lister program. Do a manual update by clicking "Tools -> Check for Program Updates".
If these suggestions do not correct the problem, then you can work around it by creating a new user profile. A new user profile will create a new user database, and allow you to create new items. To create a new user file in Turbo Lister, click "File -> New -> User File". Select the "Set up a new Turbo Lister file" option and click "Next". Enter your eBay account information for the new profile and follow the prompts to complete.
The CSV Export/Import option in the program will let you transfer items from one User file to another. First, you will need to access the User file you wish to export from. Open the program, then click "File -> Change User" and select the User file. Once the User file opens, then you will want to export the items to a CSV file. Select all the items in the grid, then click "File -> Export Selected Items -> To CSV".
