		In eBay's Travel category, you can list timeshare weeks for rent. Rent timeshares out by the day or by the week- you are in control of the listing. Plus, eBay fees add up to about 3% per sale! 	•	First, register on eBay. Just click on "Register now" from the home page, or click here.

	•	Click here to create a Seller's Account. Be ready to provide a credit card number.

	•	Register with Square Trade. (If you plan on selling Air, Hotel, Lodging, Cruises or Vacation Packages, you must be verified by Square Trade.)

	•	That's it! You are ready to sell…click on the "Sell" button at the top of any eBay page.

	•	Auction-style: This is classic eBay. Collect bids on your item and sell to the highest bidder in a fixed length of time. You may also include a Buy It Now price in your auction, which disappears after the first bid. Your listing appears in the eBay category (or categories) you choose and in search results.

	•	Fixed Price: You set the price for your item, and buyers can purchase it immediately. Your listing appears alongside auction listings in the category (or categories) you choose and in search results.

	•	eBay Stores: eBay Stores give you a low-cost way to deal with multiple quantity items, and allow you to sell your fixed price and auction items from a unique destination on eBay. 		Attributes describe and categorize the item you are selling so buyers can more easily find what they are looking for.

	•	Listings using Item Attributes are more likely to sell, and sell at prices 10% higher than other listings, on average.*

	•	For example, if you are selling a vacation package, be sure to indicate in the "sell your item" form the location, activities that are included or available nearby, and dates of availability.

	•	Think of all the words bidders might use to search for your item- many bidders only search item titles

	•	Include location, departure city, item type, and any activities- e.g. Miami Florida Golf Beach Vacation for 2

	•	Use brand names of hotels or transportation providers when applicable

	•	Make intelligent use of your title space- bidders don't search for words like "wow"

		Avoid questions later, and minimize miscommunication, by anticipating a buyer's concerns. Here is a list of essential facts to provide:

	•	Original retail price or "rack" rate of item

	•	Location of lodging, star rating, number of beds, smoking/non-smoking, etc.

	•	Providers of component items of a vacation package

	•	Make it compelling- what makes this a great travel purchase? What's there to do and see? Are they included?

	•	Availability- if it is "subject to availability", include how the bidder may check for desired dates or departure points

	•	Additional fees- clearly state the exact amount of additional taxes the buyer will be required to pay. Additional fees payable to the seller otherthan taxes must be included in the purchase price.

	•	Payment- by when does the winning bidder need to contact seller before the transaction is void?

	•	Fulfillment- when will the reservations be made? By whom?

	•	Cancellation/change policy- Can they change dates? Is it refundable? For how long? Are there cancellation penalties?

	•	The fine print- are there any disclaimers that the bidder needs to know?

	•	Choose relevant, good quality photographs- of the location, accommodations, whatever is relevant to your listing.

	•	You may wish to use the Gallery feature to display a picture of the hotel, vacation rental or vacation location. Listings with Gallery see a 19% increase in final price, on average.*

	•	Bold: Attract the attention of buyers and set your listing apart by using Boldface type. Listings with Bold see a 16% increase on average in final price.*

	•	Featured Plus!: Your item will be shown prominently in the Featured Items section of its category list. It will also appear in the regular, non-featured item list. (Featured Plus! is available to sellers with a Feedback Rating of 10 or more.) Listings with Featured Plus see a 62% increase on average in final price.*

	•	Payment - what payment types will you accept? PayPal, credit cards, personal checks, money orders, etc. Does type of payment affect shipping or fulfillment?

	•	Shipping- Will anything be shipped? If so, what is the cost, and who is to pay it? We recommend that you set a fixed price for Shipping and Handling. This will help you close the sale, deliver your item and be paid much faster.

		Your reputation on eBay is reflected in your feedback rating, and is key to being a successful seller. Some hints to maintaining great seller-buyer relations:

	•	Fulfill the transaction quickly

	•	Leave feedback

Q: Who has to register on Square Trade? Can anyone sell travel on eBay? A: The Airline, Cruises, Lodging and Vacation Package categories on eBay Travel require mandatory verification of all sellers. Only verified sellers may list in these categories. Non-verified sellers can still list in the Other Travel and Luggage categories without undergoing this verification process. A: There are a wide variety of travel items that sell on eBay. Most important, eBay shoppers want great deals. List items that you can afford to discount off the "retail" price. A: You can sell almost anything on eBay, but there are some restrictions. In no category are you allowed to list an item that requires or offers an additional purchase. Example: travel certificates that require holder to buy or pay for something (i.e. 7 nights hotel room) as a condition of receiving the benefit of the coupon (i.e. free or discounted airfare). Q: How do I charge the buyer for taxes and other fees? A: Sellers must disclose any additional fees. 1) All non-shipping and handling fees paid to the seller or any other private party must be included in the auction price. 2) Taxes paid to government agencies or fees to state or local regulatory bodies do not need to be included in the auction price, however they must be noted in the item description. Listings that appear to have excessive government or regulatory fees will be ended. Failure to clearly and accurately disclose all additional fees may also result in the loss of the Travel Seller Verify by SquareTrade seal". Q: How do I collect payment from buyers on eBay? A: Sellers on eBay can determine their own conditions of sale and conduct their transactions on the site according to them. You decide whether to take checks, money orders, credit cards, et cetera. Please note: it is important to include details on your accepted payment methods in each listing you post onto eBay so that buyers can make an informed purchase decision. Q: I have a vacation I bought and can't use- can I sell it on eBay? A: Yes, you can, if you are the owner, you have documentation proving this, and it is transferable. The seller must still get verified by Square Trade, and be prepared to show them the documentation.
