Frequently Asked Questions about the new Sell Your Item (SYI) form
What is the new Sell Your Item (SYI) form? We are working on the next generation of the Sell Your Item (SYI) form that eBay members use to list items for sale. The top request we have received from sellers is to make the current form shorter and more efficient. While the official release of the new form is many months away, we are proving members with early access to the new Sell Your Item form. We encourage members to provide feedback after you've tried it. You can access the new Sell Your Item form at the following URL: http://pages.ebay.com/syialpha/welcome.html then click the List Now button. What are the new features in the new SYI?
Are there any special requirements to use the new SYI form?
Can I still use the current SYI form after I try out the new SYI form? Yes. Whenever you create a listing, you can still use the current version of the Sell Your Item form. To access the current form, click the Sell button at the top of any page; to access the new SYI, go to http://pages.ebay.com/syialpha/welcome.html. I can't find a feature in the new SYI. Is it not available, and if so, why? The purpose of allowing early access is to enable members to try the new form as early as possible so that we may get their feedback and improve the form. For this reason, some features have not been developed yet for the new form and are not available. They will be available in future releases. How can I provide feedback or report bugs? We'd love to hear what you think of new SYI. You can give us your feedback in two ways:
If I use the New SYI form, will I be creating an actual listing? Just like the current Sell Your Item form, the listings you create using the new SYI form are real and will run like any other listing on eBay. You must follow eBay's Listing Policies, and you will be charged the regular selling fees. |
