What items should I sell using the Store item format?

Your eBay Store will include all of the auction items that you list (including those with the Buy-it-Now Feature) as well as all of the items you list using the Store Inventory Listings Format.

Since Store Inventory Listings do not appear in eBay's core search, many sellers rely on interested buyers and repeat buyers as well as their own marketing efforts to sell these items. Here are some strategies store sellers are using:
  • List the items that you expect to generate the most traffic and excitement in auctions. These can be items that are highly sought-after, or items that you are trying to liquidate at a steep discount. Because they are exciting items and will be visible in the main auction search, more buyers will click through to these items. Actively promote your eBay Store in your auction item descriptions to drive those buyers into your eBay Store where they can see all of your inventory.
  • List accessories or add-ons at a fixed price in your eBay Store. Use your auction listings to drive traffic to your eBay Store, where you offer additional fixed price merchandise that buyers can purchase immediately from you. Many sellers offer shipping discounts if you buy multiple items from them within a short time period.
  • List your breadth and depth in your eBay Store. Fixed price listings allow you to sell items in large quantities with lower maintenance. Sellers can add their breadth of listings (e.g., multiple sizes and colors, accessories for all of their items, special bulk sales, etc.) for interested buyers.
Many sellers choose not to list at all using the Store Item Format, but rely on their Store as a destination to showcase and sell their items and for the additional exposure they receive by being an eBay Store. See Features & Benefits.
