 Frequently Asked Questions

How do I go about getting my item authenticated?
In order to get your item authenticated, you must choose a company to send it to. Once you've decided on the company and researched how that company wants you to ship your item and what to send with it, then send it off. Leading service providers in this area include PSA/DNA and Online Authentics.

How much does it cost to get my item authenticated?
Authentication costs vary immensely depending on the item, and the value of the item. Expect to pay anywhere between $25 and $100 per item depending on its value. To determine whether it's worth it to get an item graded, check the Completed Items on eBay and compare similar items to yours that are authenticated verses those that are not.

Where is the best category on eBay to list my item?
If your item has been deemed authentic by one of the industry's best-known authentication companies, and you have a seller feedback score of 25 or higher, you may list this item in the Authenticator Pre-Certified category. Otherwise, list your autographed items in the Autographs category, and choose which sport the item belongs under. If the item is game used, and not signed, then it should be listed in "Game Used" category within the Memorabilia category in Sports.
