Cause Marketing
Consumers tend to reward companies that contribute to their community.
- A poll conducted by Cone, Inc. found that two-thirds of Americans are likely to switch brands, when price and quality are equal, to retailers associated with a good cause
- Cone Inc. also found that 87% of employees at companies with cause programs feel a strong sense of loyalty to their employer
- The most popular ways to give were: (1) donating a personal item, (2) buying a product where a percentage of the proceeds benefited a cause and (3) writing a check to a charity
