 Store Inventory Visibility

As of late August, Store Inventory listings will appear when buyers click the Buy It Now tab located on all search and browse pages on eBay.com and eBay.ca.
  1. Where will Store Inventory items be displayed when buyers select the Buy It Now tab?
When buyers select the Buy It Now tab, the complete list of Store Inventory items will appear after matching Auction-style with Buy It Now and Fixed Price listings by default. The default setting for the Buy It Now tab will automatically select the "Buy It Now items" and "All items including Store Inventory Items" check boxes in the Search Options customization area located on all search and browse pages. Buyers who prefer to see only Auction-style with Buy It Now and Fixed Price listings may un-select the "All items including Store Inventory Items" check box under the Search Options area.

  2. How will the sort order work for Store Inventory items in the Buy It Now tab?
The sort order for Store Inventory items will match the sort order that is applied to the main Auction-style with Buy It Now and Fixed Price results. The break between Store Inventory results and Core listings results (Auction-style with Buy It Now and Fixed Price) will be maintained even when the buyer changes the sort order, and any sort will start again at the Store Inventory items section.

  3. What was the outcome of the testing that evaluated other options for including Store Inventory in the main search?
Over the past several weeks, we’ve been evaluating several alternatives for exposing more Store Inventory listings along with search results for Auction-style or Fixed Price listings on eBay.com. We’ve tested altering various sections of the search results page to find the optimum design for buyers. Our test results show that the ideal approach is how we are doing it today. Going forward, we will maintain the current expansion that displays up to 30 Store Inventory listings when a buyer’s search results in 30 or fewer Auction-style or Fixed Price listings in the main eBay search and browse.
 Half.com Visibility

As mentioned in Bill Cobb's letter, we recognize that sellers in eBay's Media categories, including Books, Music, DVDs and Movies, and Video Games, may have unique challenges given the fee changes. Starting in late August, we will provide visibility for Half.com listings in Core search results on eBay.com.
  1. Where will Half.com listings surface on eBay.com?
We will be bringing back Half.com merchandising at the bottom of search results in the Books, Music, DVDs and Movies, and Video Games categories on eBay.com.

  2. What is required to get my Media listings included in the Half.com merchandising on eBay.com?
For your listings to qualify for this placement, you will need to have live listings on Half.com. The four Half.com items highlighted in the banner will be dynamically selected based on the buyer's search term and will reflect the results that would have surfaced if the same search had been conducted on Half.com.

  3. How can I move my eBay.com Media listings to Half.com?
To learn more about moving eBay.com Media listings to Half.com, please visit the seller resources page.

  4. Will the Half.com merchandising appear on eBay.ca?
No, the Half.com merchandising will not appear on eBay.ca.
