eBay Stores: More Visibility for Store Inventory Listings

We will be expanding the visibility of Store Inventory listings in regular eBay search and browse results.
Store Inventory listings will now appear after matching auction and Fixed Price listings in regular eBay search and browse results. Whether 5, 50, or 500 results appear when buyers search for something on eBay, Store Inventory listings that match their search will appear at the end of those results. We will not be making any changes to Store Inventory fees or subscription prices at this time.

Store Inventory is an additional listing format available to eBay Store sellers that can be used to complement and extend eBay listings beyond the auction or Fixed Price formats.

Please note that changes to Store Inventory will be available in the next few weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this new benefit increase my eBay Stores fees?
No, there will be no eBay Stores subscription or Store Inventory listing fee changes on eBay.com or eBay Motors. If you sell internationally, we recommend you visit that country's Announcement Board to learn about any fee changes for the sties you sell on.

What pages will be affected by this change?
The complete list of Store Inventory items will appear after matching Online Auction and Fixed Price listings in the main eBay search and browse results across eBay.com and eBay Motors. This change will be visible on all Search, Browse, List and Gallery View and Completed Items pages, and in Favorites and Recommendations searches and emails. Cross Stores Search, Search within a seller's eBay Store, and Seller's Other Items will be unaffected as Store Inventory items already appear in these areas.

Will any changes occur when a buyer searches within my eBay Store?
No. All of a seller's listings will continue to appear in their eBay Store regardless of listing format or site. No changes will be made to how a seller's listings appear or are sorted within their eBay Store.

Will any changes occur when a buyer searches on my Seller's Other Items page?
No. All of a seller's listings will continue to appear in on their Seller's Other Item page regardless of listing format or site. No changes will be made to how a seller's listings appear or are sorted on the Seller's Other Item page.

Will my listing upgrades show up in Store Inventory results?
There will be no change to the inclusion of listing upgrades (e.g. Gallery, Bold, Border, etc.) in Store Inventory results. As before, listing upgrades will not be displayed on Store Inventory listings within the main eBay search results. The one exception is if no Online Auction or Fixed Price results are returned in the search results; then listing upgrades will appear on Store Inventory listings in the main eBay search results.

Listing upgrades will appear as normal in all other searches on eBay, including the Cross Stores search accessible from stores.ebay.com or advanced search, a seller's eBay Store, and the Seller's Other Items page.

What happened to the "See additional Buy It Now items from eBay Store sellers" link and the "Additional Items found in eBay Stores" section that occasionally appeared at the bottom of the search results page?
Because Store Inventory items will now appear after matching Online Auction and Fixed Price listings in search and browse results, this link and the Stores section were replaced with an optional "Store Inventory items" filter in the Search Options customization area. All items that surface from the "Store Inventory items" filter will include a Gallery photo and the Store name column.

What happened to the "Store Name" column that was previously included in the "Additional Items found in eBay Stores" section?
Now that Store Inventory Listings appear at the end of the main eBay search and browse results, all listings will need to maintain consistent views that incorporate any customization preferences a buyer has selected for their eBay searches. Store name is still an optional column that buyers can select to include in their search results. To add Store name, click on the "Customize Display" link in the top right corner of the search results page. Select the "Customize Display" tab, then add "Store name" to the list of columns to display and select save.

How can buyers filter the main search results to show only Store Inventory listings?
Buyers can choose to view and search only Store Inventory listings by selecting the "Store Inventory Items" checkbox in the Search Options customization area of the search results page. Buyers can activate the "Store Inventory items" checkbox by clicking on the "Customize options displayed above" link on a search results page. See the short step by step guide below for full details. Since no Online Auction or Fixed Price listings are returned in the Store Inventory only search, the Gallery listing upgrade for will be displayed.

Is there a way to jump to the break between Store Inventory results and Online Auction and Fixed Price results?
No. There is no way to jump to the break between these sections. Users who wish to only see Store Inventory items in their results set may apply the "Store Inventory items" filter which can be added into the Search Options section through customization of the Search Options.

How will the sort order work for Store Inventory items?
The sort order for Store Inventory items will match the sort order that is applied in the main Online Auction and Fixed Price results, which is ending soonest. The break between Store Inventory results and Online Auction and Fixed Price results will be maintained even when the user changes the sort order, and any sort will start again at the Store Inventory items section.
