| Learn more about eBay's Recommendations feature
What is the eBay Recommendations feature?
Have you ever been frustrated by either getting outbid, or by forgetting to bid, on an item that you really
wanted or needed? With our Recommendations feature, we can send you an email containing items similar
to the one you did not win so that you have the chance to win one like it.
How does the Recommendations email work?
If you place a bid and are currently the high bidder on an item, we alert you on the bid confirmation
page that we will send an email in case you do not win the item. You will receive this email within 24
hours of the close of the listing. The email will display a list of items that are similar to the
one you bid on but did not win. It will also show you a list of other items the seller has listed on eBay.
How do I indicate whether or not I want to receive a Recommendations email?
If you place a bid and are currently the high bidder on an item, we alert you on the bid confirmation
page that we will send an email in case you do not win the item. However, you can indicate that you do
not want to receive the Recommendations email by clicking the "No" option. We will remember that you
have chosen not to receive this type of email and will not send you another one until you tell us you
want to receive it. If and when you decide that you want to receive a Recommendations email, all you
have to do is click the "Yes" option on the bid confirmation page after you bid on an item and
are the high bidder. We will then remember that you have chosen to receive a Recommendations email. |
