Who is eligible?

Any eBay member who has never listed any item for sale on eBay. This offer is for first-time sellers only. Only your first three listings will be eligible.


How do I get my free listings?


Go to eBay click the "Start Selling Now" button located at the top of this page and register to sell on eBay. Next, create a listing for your item during the promotional period September 6-10, 2005. eBay members who meet the eligibility requirement listed above will receive up to three insertion fee credits PLUS members can add the Gallery upgrade to all three qualifying listings for additional credit. 

 

Registered sellers on eBay Motors (non-vehicles) may go to www.ebaymotors.com.

What are the fees?

For Auction-style and Fixed Price listings on eBay.com and eBay Motors (non-vehicles only) the insertion fees for a first listing will be waived. In addition, if you choose the Gallery option you will receive credit for selecting this option.
 
Please note: the discounted fees will not be immediately reflected on the site. You will see a credit to your seller's account by mid October 2005.

If your item sells, the final value fee will be charged. If you create additional listings during this promotional period, insertion and any additional listing upgrade fees will apply.

What is excluded?


eBay Motors vehicles, International, Live Auction, Real Estate Ad Format, Listing in 2 categories, Professional Services, Multi Item Auctions (Dutch Auctions) and Store Inventory listings. The promotional rate does not apply to listings with a start date prior to September 6, 2005 - including those listings revised during the promotional period. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created during the promotional period September 6-10, 2005 and scheduled to start after the promotion ends September 10, 2005.

The following Business & Industrial categories (plus the sub-categories which fall under each listed category below) are excluded from this promotion:
tractors & farm machinery, heavy equipment, concession trailers & carts, imaging & aesthetics equipment, forklifts & other lifts, manufacturing equipment, metalworking equipment, and commercial printing presses.


* Optional Listing Upgrade Fees: Bold, Border, Buy It Now, Featured Plus!, Highlight, Bold, Home Page Featured, Gallery Featured, Gift Services, Reserve listing fee, Listing Designer, Picture Services, Subtitle, Picture Show, Supersize Picture, extended duration surcharges.
