Within the next few weeks, the PayPal service will be added as a payment option within eBay. The following describes the changes that will take place.

View Item (Open)

  PayPal Changes:

Buyers: If a seller accepts PayPal as a payment option, the PayPal and credit card logos will appear to buyers on both the open and closed View Item page, as seen in the red circle above.

Sellers: When a seller selects PayPal as a payment option on the Sell Your Item form, the PayPal logo will automatically appear at the top of your View Item page, as seen in the red circle above.

  Billpoint Changes:

Buyers: Billpoint will continue to be listed as a payment option on the View Item page for those sellers who are registered with and who accept payment through Billpoint until after the first of the year. The Billpoint logo and payment option text will remain in the payment options area on the View Item page, as seen in the blue box above.

Sellers: The Billpoint logo and text will appear in the payment options area if the seller is registered with Billpoint and chooses it as a payment option, as indicated in the blue circle above. Please note that the Billpoint service will be available for registered Billpoint sellers until after the first of the year, at which point it will no longer be available.

View Item (Closed)

  PayPal Changes:

Buyers: Once the listing has closed, as seen with above and below, buyers can click on the gray "Pay Now" button to begin the process for paying for an item. As the red circles indicate, you can find the "Pay Now" button at both the top and bottom of the closed View Item page.

Sellers: If buyers choose, they can begin payment immediately from the closed View Item page after the listing ends. If the seller selected PayPal from the Sell Your Item form when listing, the PayPal graphic will appear at both the top and bottom of the closed View Item page. This indicates to buyers that PayPal is a payment option.

  Billpoint Changes:

Buyers: When the listing has ended, buyers can click on the gray "Pay Now" button to begin the process for paying for an item with Billpoint, if the seller is a registered Billpoint seller and has chosen it as an option. As seen circled in red, you can find the "Pay Now" button at both the top and bottom of the closed View Item page.

Sellers: Buyers can continue to begin payment with Billpoint immediately from the closed View Item page simply by clicking on the gray "Pay Now" button. If you are a registered Billpoint seller and have selected Billpoint as a payment option on the Sell Your Item form, Billpoint will appear in text at both the top and bottom of the closed View Item page.
