Why is eBay integrating PayPal into the eBay platform? Many of our members currently offer PayPal's services. Therefore, the integration of PayPal into the eBay platform makes a tremendous amount of sense for our member community. PayPal and eBay share a common goal: to enable our members to trade with greater ease, speed and safety.
When will the integration of PayPal happen? The first phase of integration will begin in the next few weeks. Over the next few months, you will begin to see deeper integration of PayPal throughout the eBay site. As always, we will continue to improve our product through enhancements and upgrades suggested by our member community.
Will PayPal's/eBay's fees increase? At this time, eBay does not plan to increase the fees of either service.
Will sellers be required to use PayPal?eBay sellers have many options when requesting payment from their buyers. PayPal will be one of those options. PayPal will be integrated into the Sell Your Item form at integration, and sellers will be able to choose it, along with the other forms of payment they may prefer. eBay seller tools will support PayPal in the next few months.
Are there going to be changes to eBay's or PayPal's User Agreements or Privacy Policies? We are not planning immediate policy changes to either company's agreements at this time. However, the agreements may be revised in the future to accommodate the growth and integration of the two services. As always, eBay and PayPal would provide advanced notice to you of such changes before they become effective.
Will eBay and PayPal share my information?Your privacy is very important to us. We will share information between eBay and PayPal only in accordance with each company's respective Privacy Policies. Your information will continue to be protected and secured the same way it is today. As always, we will give advance notice of any changes to the Privacy Policy of either site.
When will Billpoint be discontinued? An exact date for the discontinuation of Billpoint services has not been set, but Billpoint will continue to be available until after the first of the year. Until then, both Billpoint and PayPal will be options on the Sell Your Item form and eBay selling tools. We will provide more information on our Announcement Board once the date for the transition has been set.

I have two eBay User IDs, and I have a Billpoint account for each User ID. Will I be able to have a PayPal account for each User ID?PayPal members may register for one Personal and one Business or Premier account, so it is possible to have a separate PayPal account for each User ID. You may add multiple eBay IDs to a PayPal Business account, but not a PayPal Personal account.
Will PayPal facilitate international trade by supporting currencies other than US dollars?Yes. Beginning in mid-October, PayPal members will be able to send and receive payments in Euros and Pounds Sterling, in addition to U.S. Dollars. PayPal will support additional currencies, such as Japanese Yen and Canadian Dollars, in the coming months. When the multiple currencies are introduced, PayPal members will automatically be able to use them with their existing PayPal accounts.
